Christopher Ward C8 Flyer Mk2

Christopher Ward has a long history of making aviation-inspired watches, starting with 2006’s C5 Malvern Aviator, which was based on CW’s first ever watch, the C5 Malvern. Their next aviator was… the C8, in its first iteration which was the Pilot Mk1 of 2008. While the C9, C10 and C11 have all offered aviation models, it’s the C8 case which has proved to be CW’s goto aviator case, having been used in over ten different models over the years including the current C8 Power Reserve and Al Deere special, which both sit near the top of the CW pricing scale.

No longer available from Christopher Ward, this C8 Pilot Mk2 was CW last ‘affordable’ automatic aviator, having cost £600 when it was available between 2017 and 2019. This particular watch is an archive find, having been bought by me in July 2020, making it one of the very last/youngest C8 Flyers in existence - the transferable CW movement warranty is valid until July 2025.

Strap:
Fitted with the original brown CW Italian oak Tiber leather strap, which has quick-release spring bars.

Condition:
Offered in brand new, unworn condition - it’s only been out of the case for the photographs in this listing. Supplied in original CW presentation case with polishing cloth, warranty card and a covering letter explaining that hard copy user manuals were no longer available and directing you to the PDF version mentioned below.
