CHRISTOPHER WARD C9 HARRISON AUTOMATIC
Introduction
Launched in September 2010, the C9 Harrison Automatic is one of the three models issued to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the H4 choronometer created by John Harrison, a famous British horologist, to solve the problem of finding the longitude at sea.
It was followed up with a later release in February 2013 of the C9 Harrison Automatic LE (Blue). It is a limited edition of 100 pieces with a blue galvanic dial. It’s an absolutely stunning dial and is nicknamed Baby Blue.
Warranty
It comes with a six month Ward Hoard warranty.
Condition
This example is in lovely condition.
It’s keeping great time as shown on the timegrapher - well inside the +/-20sec specified by CW.
Supplied in its original case with cleaning cloth, owner’s book/certificate of authenticity and a copy of the standard CW covering letter.
Strap options
The original CW blue genuine alligator leather strap with deployant clasp is in excellent condition.

Description
Released in mid 2019, the C1 Moonglow was an important watch for Christopher Ward. It was the first model to use translucent glass on the dial, allowing light to pass through and adding depth in a way CW had not attempted before. In hindsight, it set the groundwork for the C60 Sapphire that followed the year after. There were details I really liked on the original Moonglow, particularly the red tipped seconds hand and the red date indicator, which added just enough contrast without breaking the calm of the design. It was unusual but very well executed.
What stopped me buying the original was the translucent lower half of the dial, which never quite worked for me visually. CW fixed that completely with the Limited Edition released in January 2025. Limited to 80 pieces, this version uses a solid Celestial Blue dial, hiding the second moon and giving the watch a far more resolved feel. It is powered by the JJ04 movement developed with Johannes Jahnke and paired with a Mastrotto Crumbs® leather strap. The blue is excellent and in real life is slightly darker than the library images suggest. For me, CW got this version exactly right. I bought one as soon as I heard about it and I am only selling mine due to a strict one in one out rule. With just 80 made, these rarely appear.

Christopher Ward C70 Royal Air Force Ad Astra
Introduction
The RAF Ad Astra limited edition was introduced as a limited edition with part of the proceeds going to the RAF Benevolent Fund. It was based on the C70 Grand Prix series models and is a quartz chronograph.
The C70 RAF stylish face and bright colours make it a very collectable piece.

Fitted with an Italian Vintage oak leather strap in used condition - a superb quality strap.

Exchange for a brand new current CW leather, hybrid or rubber strap - increase of £30.
Condition
The C70’s exposed alloy bezel and thinly applied paint make it notoriously delicate, so finding the older ones in good condition is becoming increasingly challenging. This one is in pretty good condition with only some light marks.
It comes boxed (box showing some signs of flaking and deterioration) with cleaning cloth, manual with certificate of authenticity, covering letter and some repair documentation from the dim and distant past!
