UK next working day by Royal Mail or UPS costs £9.95.

Straps

UK strap postage costs £2.95.

International Customers

COURIER

We usually use UPS for shipping internationally as it is relatively quick (normally within a week) and typically pretty reliable. However, other couriers are possible - please ask if you have a preferred shipper.

DUTY AND IMPORT TAXES

Please note that you are responsible for any duty or import taxes payable. For US customers and for watches greater than USD800 in value, UPS typically asks us for a watch form after it has shipped that requires detailed information, including a breakdown of value by movement, case and strap. We are not experts in US duty rates by any stretch of the imagination, and there is a useful explanation here as to why that information is required (albeit I have no idea whether this is correct).

We complete the UPS watch form to the best of our ability. It’s hard to break down the value of any watch by its component parts, because you are buying a watch as a whole, and it doesn’t make much sense to split it. However, we consider that most of the value is in the movement, so we allocate a reasonable estimate on the value of the strap and case, with the balance being allocated to the movement (which seems to attract duty at a flat fee). In our experience, that ordinarily results in a duty charge of around 2-5% of the value of the watch, where the watch is more than USD800 in value. Where duty is charged, UPS also charge a (relatively) modest admin fee of around USD10-15 in addition to the duty paid.

It’s not a foolproof system - we can’t submit the watch form in advance so we have to wait until UPS contact us and we can’t calculate what the duty will be with any degree of certainty. But we turn that request around as quickly as possible and, in our experience, overall, using UPS is the quickest and most cost effective of shipping to the USA. As noted above, other couriers are possible - please ask if you have a preferred shipper.

Straps

Postage to Western Europe, Canada and USA costs £9.95.

Your Own courier Collection

If you’d like to arrange your own courier collection for a watch that’s fine as long as the watch is paid by bank transfer so the liability if something goes missing is yours rather than mine!
