Christopher Ward C60 Mk2 Trident Pro Titanium Version 2

The Mk2 C60 Trident Pro 600 was the first C60 to be made available with a Titanium case. There were two models: the Version 1 model had a raw Titanium case and hard-to-read black hands on a black face, so is unofficially known as the ‘stealth’. The Version 2, which is the one available here, has a PVD black case and much easier to read white hands and markers.

The two titanium models were launched in Jan 2016, with the leather/rubber strap models costing £750 and the Titanium bracelet models a cool £1,000. The early models featured CHR. WARD logo placed at 12 o’clock, but it didn’t take long for the face to be updated with the current CW logo, placed at 9 o’clock. The watch for sale here is one of those later-logo’d pieces, known as the Mk2.5. It was originally sold in March 2018, so the transferable movement warranty is valid until March 2023.

Weight
Titanium C60 heads weigh 76g. The steel 43mm is nearly 40% heavier at 104g. But it’s the bracelets which really highlight the weight difference: my scales (which round to the nearest 5g) make the Titanium bracelet 60g, whereas the steel one is almost 70% heaver at 100g!

Straps
It’s fitted with an original CW Rubber strap with CHR. WARD logos.

Alternatively, I can supply it on a brand new, black CW Titanium bracelet. This switch would cost an additional £200. It’s worth noting CW charge £330 for new Titanium C60 bracelets.

Condition
It’s in good used condition. There are a few light marks on the bezel (56min), a few bezel teeth, the top right lug and on the undersides of the lugs. They all look much worse under the harsh LED lighting of my photography cube than they do in the flesh. I’d score it an 8.5 out of 10, whereas a quick daylight inspection has it looking more like a 9.5.

The CW rubber strap and sport clasp are in great shape and it also comes with a chunky leather aftermarket strap.

It’s keeping great time at +8sec per day. Well inside the +/-20sec specified by CW and just outside the -4 to +6 COSC window (it’s not a COSC certified model by the way)

Supplied as a full set complete with inner and outer boxes, covering letter, unused polishing cloth and user manual with Certificate of Authenticity.
