Christopher Ward C60 Sapphire Blue

Christopher Ward has a history of innovation and generally shaking things up. From 2005’s C5 auto with its ETA 2824 movement at an unprecedented price, to the striking C70 face designs starting in 2009, to the first JJ modified calibre in 2011, to having the ‘audacity’ to create their own 120h power reserve SH21 movement in 2014 - they certainly can’t be accused of always just playing it safe. And the C60 Sapphire for sale in this listing is a perfect example of CW rolling the dice - and in this case, coming up with a double six!

Launched in April 2020, the C60 Sapphire was based on the then all new 40mm Mk3 C60 Trident and came with blue translucent face and case back to show off its Sellita automatic heart - it was an instant sales hit, paving the way for orange and black face versions and more recently a Sapphire version of the new C63.

This particular watch dates from December 2020, so the transferable movement warranty is valid until December 2024 - or December 2025 if serviced by CW between 36-48 months old.

The Sapphire is still a current model, with brand new examples available from CW here at £795.

Condition

It’s a 99.5% new watch. The only blemish I can find is a tiny mark on the bezel at 33min - only visible in certain angles/lights. If I hadn’t mentioned that mark, I doubt most people would ever notice it!

It’s keeping great time and is supplied as a ‘full set’, box of and papers.
