Christopher Ward C60 Trident Pro 600 Mk2.5 43mm

Introduction

With the launch of the C60 Mk2 in mid 2015 we saw the first CW to have a highly scratch-resistant ceramic bezel. Just over a year later CW introduced its then new logo positioned at 9 o’clock - for sale here is one of those later Mk2 watches which I call the Mk2.5. This model was retired in 2019 when the Mk3 arrived.

You sometimes see Mk1 and Mk2 C60s referred to as 42mm. That’s because CW mistakenly quoted them as being 42mm in diameter in the earlier days, but they’re actually 43mm.

Warranty

It comes with a three month Ward Hoard warranty as the Christopher Ward warranty has now expired.

Strap

It’s currently fitted with the original CW bracelet. Comes with a couple of spare links, it is in good, used condition with the usual marks on the clasp and PCLs. It has the superb ‘ratchet style’ clasp.

Other options are:

• New hybrid, leather or tropic - discount of £50

• Head only - discount of £90

Condition

The time-keeping is perfect: registering +/-0sec per day on the timegrapher, so it would have smashed a COSC certification, had this been a COSC model (which it isn’t).

The watch comes with:

• a photograph of its warranty card dated 1 April 2018 - unsure why it doesn’t have the original - however, the CW warranty has now expired anyway;

• a letter advising that the manual is out of stock and directing to the pdf version online;

• the usual covering letter;

• an analogue repair receipt from Christopher Ward dated 4 June 2021 - not sure what was fixed, but it is now working perfectly; and

• its presentation box.

This is a used watch which has no box or papers. It also has several significant marks, clearly highlighted in the relevant photo. Those negative points are very much reflected in the asking price!
