Christopher Ward C60 Lympstone 42mm

The C60 Lympstone is named after the Royal Marines’ Commando Training Centre at Lympstone in Devon. With CW’s close relationship with the UK military and its long history of creating bespoke, military only limited runs, the Lympstone is one of a handful of CW watches to make military editions available to the public.

The ‘public’ military models started with a batch of C65s in 2019. They were the Dartmouth (named after the Royal Naval School), the Cranwell (named after the RAF College) and the Sandhurst (named after the The Royal Military Academy where army officers are trained - fun fact, I used to live 5min down the road in Sandhurst!).

In August 2020 CW added a fourth military model, which is the Lympstone for sale here. And in 2021 the Colchester joined the party (developed for and in conjunction with the British Army's Parachute Regiment).

The Lympstone is an unashamedly rugged interpretation of CW’s best selling C60 Trident Pro 600. It features a forged carbon face, chunky external bezel cut-outs, an internal rotating bezel with compass markers and plenty of X1 GL C1 Super-LumiNova® lume - not to mention the COSC certified automatic SW200 movement.

This is a current model which is available via CW for £1,095. It’s a September 2020 watch and is backed up by the usual four year (five years if serviced by CW between years 3 and 4) movement warranty. So the warranty is valid until September 2024 (or ‘25 with that service).

Condition:
It’s keeping near perfect time and is in nearly new condition.

The watch head is in near perfect condition. The only blemish I can see is a tiny indentation on the top left lug next to the bracelet - only visible in certain lights. Being a used watch, you may find other tiny marks under magnified inspection.

The CW Stainless bracelet appears to be in perfect condition with no obvious marks - again, you might find signs of used under a magnifier (the two removed links are included).

The Hybrid rubber strap is also in great condition with no obvious defects.

It’s offered as a ‘full set’, including original bamboo box, owner’s book, warranty card/wallet, COSC certificate and unused polishing cloth.
