Christopher Ward C7 Rosso Corsa COSC Limited Edition
Introduction
With the exception of a few military specials, the Christopher Ward C7 (and C70) range has always been home to their sport/motorsport inspired watches. The C7 Rapide first arrived in 2008 as a quartz chronograph and that battery chrono theme continued with the launch of the Mk2 in 2012, which was essentially a Mk1 case with some new face designs.
It wasn’t until 2017, when the C7 Rapide range got a complete overhaul, that an automatic movement became available in a C7 for the first time. The standout feature of the automatic watch has to be the multi-part case construction with its contrasting case/ring colours and its hollowed out lugs. Both those made it a pretty expensive watch to manufacture and pretty unique to look at.
The COSC-certified C7 Rosso Corsa with day/date complication for sale here was introduced in mid 2018 as a limited run of 200 pieces. This particular piece (number 197 of 200 made) was sold as an archive find in January 2021
When it was available from CW it cost £1,000.
Warranty
The transferable movement warranty is valid until January 2026.
Condition
Perfect, unworn condition with all tags in place.
Supplied as an (almost) full set including polishing cloth, warranty booklet and card and COSC certificate. Why almost? Well as an archive find, instead of the owner's manual, there is a letter explaining it is out of print and directing the owner to look online.
On the timegrapher it’s keeping near perfect time at approx. -1 second per day!
Strap options
It comes on its original black and red CW hybrid that is also brand new. Exchange for a brand new CW leather or another colour hybrid or tropic, no cost change.
If you want it head only, discount of £40.
