Christopher Ward C63 Sealander Limited Edition Jura Green 36mm Automatic

Introduction

CW introduced the Sealander range in April 2021 to great acclaim. It was really missing a sports watch, and this fitted the bill perfectly. It was voted Christopher Ward Forum Watch of the Year 2021.

It features a polished lacquer dial – and was initially available in just black or white – and top-brushed, diamond-polished indices filled with Super-LumiNova® Grade X1 BL C1. The hand-set, modelled on those from the C60 Trident Pro 600, is also coated with lume, and the date window is at 6 o'clock.

Later iterations included a 39mm blue version as well as smaller 36mm versions and colours.

Released in July 2022, the C63 Sealander 36 mm Limited Edition - Jura Green is part of a four-watch collection (200 pieces per edition) inspired by the colours of Swiss topography and English flora (in this case the forested Jura mountains between Switzerland and France, using a 36 mm case to cater for the growing demand for smaller watches.

Warranty

This is an October 2022 watch, so the CW transferable movement warranty is valid to October 2027.

Strap options

It comes on a brand new CW vintage oak tan leather strap. Other options are:

• Exchange for a CW XS vintage oak tan leather strap (no change in price)

• Exchange for a CW black hybrid (no change in price)

• Exchange for brand new bracelet (increase of £125)

• Exchange for lightly used bracelet (increase of £100)

• Head only (discount of £40).

Condition

Very good condition - one tiny ding to the bezel at 4 o’clock, but you really have to look for it.

On the timegrapher it’s keeping very good time at +5 seconds per day.
