SOLD C9 ME 109 SPC Limited Edition (2021)
Christopher Ward C9 ME 109 Limited Edition
The C9 ME 109 is an evolution of the original C900 Mono Pusher, originally released in 2012 - it was a pretty special watch when it first surfaced and every time I look at one, I'm reminded that it's still a very special watch!
They use a highly modified Unitas 6497 hand-wound mechanical chronograph. The modifications were done by Johannes Jahnke, now head of development at Sellita. CW refer to the movement as their JJ02.
You can read about the various JJ modifications here.
With JJ no longer at CW, as it says in that article, there are no parts for any more Single Pusher models to be made, so the ME 109 will be the last Mono Pusher model and the watch I have is one of the very last one they sold.
Dial and hands design from the Junghans clock found inside the Messerschmitt Me 109 fighter plane.
The ME 109 was launched in 2017 at a cost of £3,000 and was retired in 2018, however a couple surfaced briefly in Jan 2021, which is how I came by this one.
Transferable movement warranty valid to Jan ‘25 (Or Jan ‘26 if serviced by CW during 2024.
There are some great photos available in this feature.
