SOLD - C60 Trident 300 Quartz Blue/Black (2021)
Christopher Ward C60 Trident 300
I pride myself on being a bit (lot) of a Christopher Ward anorak and I can recall details of most models with confidence. But this watch is a little different. While C60 300s with blue bezels and black faces is a known model, it’s the shade of blue on the bezel which makes this one stand out - it’s far less in your face, a far more subtle and classy shade of blue than I’ve seen used on all other C60 300s.
It popped onto the CW website for a matter of seconds in July 2021 and I was lucky enough to buy it. Whether there were any sold before mine, I’m not sure, but I do know that as soon as I bought this one, it vanished from the site, never to be seen again!
I would speculate that this watch has the regular quartz 300 black face from the C60 Mk2.5 models (the last of the line with the logo at 9 o’clock), but I believe the bezel has been sourced from the parts bin marked HMS Prince of Wales - see this watch to learn more.
Not only does this watch have a very unusual bezel colour, it’s also one of the very last C60 quartz watches CW has sold - so it’s a pretty rare thing.
The transferable movement warranty is valid until July 2025, or July 2026 if serviced by CW - but personally, I’d take my chances and skip that service. The Swiss Ronda 715 quartz movement found in this watch is a very reliable thing and in the unlikely event of a failure, it’s cheap to replace.
Condition
It’s in brand new, unworn condition and is fitted with a black CW Hybrid rubber strap.
Supplied as a ‘full set’ including bamboo case, warranty card and unused polishing cloth. Note instead of a user manual, it comes with a covering letter explaining that it’s a historic model so CW no longer had any books available. The letter directs you to the PDF version on their website - link below.

Final Notes
The first photo is a library shot.
The final photo shows an HMS Prince of Wales edition, which I believe shares the bezel with the watch listed here.
