CHRISTOPHER WARD C60 TRIDENT ELITE 1000
This watch is currently on pre-order for mid-April, so it’s your chance to not only jump the queue, but also to get a hefty discount!
This watch ticks so many boxes, it’s easily one of, if not the best dive watch Christopher Ward has ever produced. It basically takes all the tasty bits of previous Limited Editions, then adds a couple more features of its own to create a truly special timepiece.
COSC certification? Check. Titanium case? Check. 1,000m depth rating? Check. Day-date complication? Check. Helium escape valve? Check. Sexy exhibition case back? Oh yes! I think the only possible way it could be improved was if it has an SH21 movement, but then it would likely be a bit taller and double the price!
It’s a current model which was launched in January 2020 and is available via the CW website for £1,295. The transferrable movement warranty is valid until July 2025.
Condition
I bought this watch in July 2020 and have only worn it on a few special occasions, on a different strap. I’ve since refitted the original, unworn hybrid rubber strap. Looking at it now, I can’t see any marks or signs of use at all, it’s spotlessly clean and still appears to be in brand new condition. I have worn it a few times though, so you may find evidence of use under magnified inspection (but probably not!).
The watch comes as a ‘full set’, with original bamboo case, warranty card, unused polishing cloth and user guide. And of course the COSC certificate which shows a mean daily rate of +2.25sec - very close to the centre of the -4/+6 COSC window.
