Christopher Ward C5 Malvern 595

I never appreciated how remarkable the Malvern 595 really is until I first held one in my hands. At just 5.95mm high, it’s the slimmest watch Christopher Ward watch has ever produced by over 2mm (the previous thinnest being the 8.25mm C5 Slimline Square).

It’s a sleek, classic, and (obviously) very slim dress watch which at 39mm diameter says subtlety and class in equal quantities.

No longer available from Christopher Ward (when it was, it cost £595 on a leather strap), the C5 Malvern 595 was launched in Jan 2018 and was retired at the end of 2019. This particular watch popped up in Jan 2021, making it one of the very last 595 ever sold by CW. With the 60 month Christopher Ward movement warranty being transferrable, it’s covered to Jan 2026.

Strap:
Fitted with the original CW brown Italian leather strap which has quick-release spring bars.

Condition:
Brand new, unworn condition. Supplied in CW presentation case with book and all papers.

On the timegrapher it’s running a bit faster than it should (CW specify +/-15sec), but I personally wouldn’t send it back to CW for such a minor adjustment. That said, if it did bug you, CW would regulate it for free as part of their five year warranty. I’ve reduced the price by £50 to cover the inconvenience of a return.
