Christopher Ward C65 Super Compressor Black Sand

Introduction

Introduced in August 2020, the C65 Super Compressor is the first genuine super compressor diving watch in 50 years. Using a technology developed in the early days of dive watches the mechanism, featuring a compression spring, is designed to increase water-resistance as the diver descends. The exhibition caseback – not used before on a super compressor – shows the all-important compression spring and diving-bell logo. The internal dive bezel is adjusted by means of a second crown.

Lovely retro style diver with sun-burst style face, internal rotating bezel and huge exhibition case back showcasing the movement and compression ring. This colour is no longer available from CW.

This is an original C65 SC which has the ‘mistake dial’ where the ”SUPER COMPRESSOR” wording at the bottom of the dial is slightly off centre to the left.

Warranty

The watch itself is actually around three years old. However, prior to purchase, the original owner obtained a copy warranty card as he has misplaced the original. CW gave him a five year warranty card dated May 2024 so the transferable CW movement warranty valid to May 2029.

Strap

Currently fitted with a CW black tropic strap in great condition. If you’d rather switch it to a new CW hybrid or leather - the price would increase by £20. It you would prefer it head only, the price would reduce by £30.

If you’d like to exchange for a brand new strap, the price would increase by £125.

Condition

Lovely condition. Timing on the timegrapher is pretty good at +8 seconds per day.

Comes complete with box, cleaning cloth and warranty booklet and card. It does not have the owner’s manual, but this is available online (see below).
