Christopher Ward C60 Concept

The watch for sale here isn’t just the pinnacle of the C60 family, but the pinnacle of whole Christopher Ward catalogue! It’s CW’s first skeleton watch. It’s the most expensive watch they’ve ever made. But if you look at what you get, it’s actually cheap! How many skeletonised, Titanium, 120 hour reserve, COSC certified, 300m dive watches have you seen for £3,500? Imagine the price tag if it had an Omega or Audemars logo on the face instead of a CW twin flag?! This is the watch-making equivalent of Swindon Town knocking Man City out of the FA cup with a 10-0 scoreline - they’ve smashed it!

It was launched in November 2021 as a limited run of 210 watches and sold out in a matter of weeks - long before CW had actually made all 210 watches! It cost £3,450 on a rubber strap or £3,725 on a Titanium bracelet. The watch for sale here actually cost £3,625 on account of the £100 discount voucher available at the time of purchase.

Here’s what CW say about the C60 Concept: “An extraordinary limited-edition timepiece – created to showcase a remarkable movement. With a level of finishing unheard of at this price, the titanium C60 Concept is a homage to our Calibre SH21 movement. Its skeletonised construction gives you a front-row seat into the workings below, while the exquisite design delivers fascination with every second. Though with only 210 in production, the watch’s supply – like time itself – is finite.”

Condition

Fantastic used condition. At the time of writing it’s only three months old, so it’s seen very little wrist time.

It’s keeping perfect time (shows -0.06sec mean daily average on the COSC cert.)

It has been worn, so there are some light blemishes on the bracelet clasp and a few of the bracelet links, but I can’t see any marks on the head - you might find signs of use under magnified inspection though.

This is a ‘full set’ box and papers watch. Supplied with user manual, warranty card, original purchase receipt (redacted), COSC certificate (not shown in pics), unused polishing cloth and spare bracelet links.

If you want a ‘perfect’ watch, brand new bracelets are still available from CW at the time of writing for £310.
