Christopher Ward C60 Mk2.5 Trident Pro 600 Special Build
The original C60 Trident Pro was launched in 2009 and was an instant hit (you can read the story in my Blog post here). 2015 saw the introduction of the Mk2 C60 - that was essentially a Mk1, but with a 600m depth rating (the Mk1 was 300m) and a ceramic bezel, which was on another planet in terms of scratch resistance compared to the Mk1. Then in mid 2019 we saw the introduction of the all new Mk3 version.
The watch for sale here was sold by CW in Jan 2021, so you’d assume it was a Mk3 based on the above dates, but it’s actually a Mk2.5 (A Mk2 with the latest logo) which was assembled from some remaining parts of historic models: it has the PVD case and bezel from the black Mk2 Vintage model and the blue face from the later Mk2.5 blue/blue model.
While the Mk3 C60 was made available with a black bezel and blue face combo (with a steel case), the watch you see where is the only Mk2 ever to have been produced with that combination. Add to that the fact that only 15 were produced, and you’re looking at a very rare model indeed.
CW just quietly added it to their website in Jan 2021 and all 15 pieces were gone within minutes! The transferable movement warranty is valid until Jan 2026.
I very much doubt any of the 15 pieces made are still in brand new condition, so fully expect this will be the last time you see a ‘new’ one available.
Condition
It’s in brand new, unworn condition.
Supplied as a full set with everything originally supplied by CW: inner and outer boxes, tag and protective vinyl, warranty card and covering letter explaining it’s a historic model, so the user book is only available as a PDF via the CW site.
On the timegrapher it’s ticking away at +7sec per day, so keeping great time, just 1sec outside COSC specifications (it’s not actually being a COSC Certified watch).
