Christopher Ward C60 Trident 300 43mm

Introduction

The Mk1 C60 Trident hit the watch world in 2009, but it was only available with an automatic movement. It wasn’t until 2015 and the arrival or the Mk2 Trident, that Christopher Ward introduced their first Quartz C60 model, which they named the Trident 300, after its 300m water depth rating (which just to confuse things, is also what Mk1 Trident Pros are rated to!).

The first Mk2 C60 Trident 300s looked almost identical to the Mk1 Pros, but this particular watch is what I call a Mk2.5, thanks to it having the current CW logo. It’s a May 2017 watch, so it one of the first CWs to sport the new logo, introduced in early 2017. As well as the new logo, the Mk2.5s also got an upgraded movement (Ronda 715 instead of 515) and the date window was moved from four o’clock to three.

Being a quartz model, it doesn’t have the taller, tapered case back of its automatic cousin, so it sits a little lower on the wrist. For me, it actually sits much better on my wrist than the autos do!

Like the Mk1 C60s, the Mk3 also doesn’t have a quartz model available, so if you’re on the lookout for a quartz C60 Trident, the Mk2/2.5 is your only option.

Warranty

The warranty card is dated 18 March 2020, so it is covered under CW’s transferrable warranty to 18 March 2025.

Strap options

It is fitted with a lightly used CW black and orange hybrid strap which is in great condition.

Price includes this strap - other options are:

• Exchange for another strap - black hybrid, tide or leather (no cost difference). I do have a few extra small straps - please ask if interested;

• Fitted with a CW Mk2 stainless steel bracelet with polished centre links: increase of £75;

• Without a strap: discount of £40.

Condition

It’s a used watch in great condition. There are various minor blemishes from use, but nothing worthy of specific mention.

Supplied in its original box including user manual, warranty card, polishing cloth (ripped cover) and original covering letter.
