WH307 C70 Royal Air Force Ad Astra Limited Edition (03/2011)
WH307 C70 Royal Air Force Ad Astra Limited Edition (03/2011)
Christopher Ward C70 Royal Air Force Ad Astra
Introduction
What a watch!
The RAF Ad Astra limited edition was introduced as a limited edition with part of the proceeds going to the RAF Benevolent Fund. It was based on the C70 Grand Prix series models and is a quartz chronograph.
The watch for sale here is number 265 of 500 and was originally sold in March 2011.
The C70 RAF stylish face and bright colours make it a very collectable piece.
Warranty
It comes with a three month Ward Hoard warranty.
Strap
Fitted with its original black leather strap with fitted ends and butterfly clasp, it is in superb condition.
This one is the original, is in superb condition and complements the watch perfectly, but please ask if you would like an alternative strap.
Condition
The C70’s exposed alloy bezel and thinly applied paint make it notoriously delicate, so finding the older ones in good condition is becoming increasingly challenging (CW has long since exhausted its supply of replacement bezels/cases). Consistent with the strap, the watch in this listing isn’t just good condition, it’s in fantastic shape, having had very little wrist time. The bezel is unmarked and one of the best I’ve seen in a long time - and I doubt I’ll see a better one again. There are some light marks on the caseback due to battery changes.
It’s presented in the original box (showing signs of minor deterioration with age) and comes as a complete set with owner’s handbook and certificate of authenticity. Also included is an unused polishing cloth.
