Christopher Ward C63 Sealander Lucerne Blue Automatic Limited Edition

Introduction

CW introduced the Sealander range in April 2021 to great acclaim. It was really missing a sports watch, and this fitted the bill perfectly. It was voted Christopher Ward Forum Watch of the Year 2021.

It features a polished lacquer dial – and was initially available in just black or white – and top-brushed, diamond-polished indices filled with Super-LumiNova® Grade X1 BL C1. The hand-set, modelled on those from the C60 Trident Pro 600, is also coated with lume, and the date window is at 6 o'clock.

Later iterations included a 39mm blue version, a hunter green model as well as smaller 36mm versions and colours.

After the success of the Lucerne Blue colour in the 36mm version, CW decided to offer a LE version in the larger size. Released in December 2022, the C63 Sealander Lucerne Blue LE is a 300-piece limited edition 39mm version of CW’s classic sports-explorer timepiece, the C63 Sealander Automatic. It sold out pretty quickly!

Warranty

This is a December 2022 watch, so the transferable movement warranty is valid to December 2029.

Strap options

It comes on a very good, used bracelet as well as the custom strap that CW produced for this model (brand new). Currently sized for a c. 7.5 inch wrist with no spare links - however, they are available from CW or I have a few spares if needed.

Lovely condition - no issues to report.

On the timegrapher it’s keeping great time at +5 seconds per day.
