Christopher Ward C60 Trident Pro COSC SH21 Limited Edition

This 300 piece limited edition watch might look similar to the regular Mk2 Pro 600, but under the hood is Christopher Ward’s remarkable in-house SH21 movement, with its 120 hour (5-day) power reserve.

On the outside there are a few visual clues which give it away as the ‘special one’: the most obvious is the face with its “5 day Chronometer” marking (the Chronometer part indicating its COSC certified accuracy). Less obvious is the date window being a little further over to the right than the regular 600. Finally it’s the case back, which is taller to make the room required to house the SH21’s rotor - not to mention the Chronometer Calibre SH21 wording as the final giveaway!

The SH21 heart means the watch head stands 15.5mm high - a fairly tall watch, but the tapered case back helps sink a little of that height into your wrist. The standard model stands at 13.3mm, in case you were wondering.

This model was launched in early 2015 and received a fairly cool reception at the time thanks to it costing three times as much as the standard Pro 600 model!- plus CW wasn’t really considered a £1,800+ kind of watch company at the time - unlike now when they can sell out 600 £3,000+ Bel Cantos in a matter of hours!

This particular watch is an 'archive find' which flashed onto the CW website in January 2020. I managed to buy it within seconds and I’ve never seen one sold since, so I can say with a good degree of confidence that this is the last one they ever sold - and ‘younger’ than 99% of others by several years! The balance of the five year movement warranty is transferable, so it's covered until Jan 2025.

Strap
It’s fitted with pretty unusual CW Stainless bracelet, in that it has no CW logo on the outside of the clasp - something I’ve only previously seen on prototype models. If you’d rather have a clasp with a logo, I’d be happy to fit one for you instead of the original plain one.

Condition
CW Sold it as being in ‘nearly new’ condition, however I’ve had a very good inspection and the watch is absolutely as new complete with original tag still attached. It has never been worn during my ownership. The only reason I can think it got the ‘nn’ tag is because the protective vinyls have been removed from the bracelet? As with the watch head, the bracelet is also in new condition.

On the timegrapher it’s keeping perfect time.

Supplied by CW in a bamboo case with warranty card, polishing cloth, COSC certificate and covering letter explaining it’s an historic model, so the user books were out of print. Instead it directs you to their online PDF version - link below.
