CHRISTOPHER WARD C9 HARRISON BIG DAY-DATE
Launched in early 2014 at a cost of £650 for the leather model, the C9 Harrison Big Day-Date, or BDD for short, was Christopher Ward’s ‘affordable’ large dress watch - the 5-Day and Single Pusher models at over 100% and 200% more expensive were at the less affordable end of the scale!
The C9 BDD was available with blue face/silver hands, white face/gold hands or the white face/black hands version for sale here. It was retired in 2016, replaced by the C1 Grand Malvern. This particular watch was sold in September ‘14.
Condition
This is about as close to new as you’re gonna find.
The original CW black leather strap with Bader deployant clasp still has its protective vinyls and is in almost new condition - this strap alone would sell for £100 to the right person.
Having been worn, there are the lightest of marks visible on some mirror-polished sections of the watch head - they could easily be removed with a bit of Cape Cod time.
It’s keeping good time at approx. +11sec per day - well inside the +/-20sec specified by CW.
Supplied in its original case with owner’s book/certificate of authenticity and a copy of the standard CW covering letter of the time.
