Christopher Ward C70 BRG Limited Edition
Introduction
The C70 BRG is a 500-piece Limited Edition watch was launched in March 2013. Born from the success of the Grand Prix series, this is a limited edition of 500 pieces in the popular British Racing Green colour that sold out in March 2014. This August 2014 piece, number 318/500 presumably a ‘back of the sofa find’ is one of the later ones you’ll find.
Warranty
As it is no longer covered by CW’s original warranty, this watch comes with a three month Ward Hoard warranty.
Strap options
The strap has the original fitted ends which are prone to splitting up around the shoulders. This one looks in good condition but the strap does have some marks from use. If you’d rather a modern CW leather or hybrid strap as an alternative, I can exchange at no additional cost. Or if you would prefer head only, I can offer a discount of £40.
As with the bezels and cases, CW no longer has any stock of replacement straps.
Condition
The C70s exposed alloy bezel and thinly applied paint make it notoriously delicate, so finding one in good condition is becoming increasingly challenging (CW has long since exhausted its supply of replacement bezels/cases).
This example does have a couple of imperfections on the bezel, notably between 50 and 55 and some scuffs between 60 and 05.
Elsewhere on the case you’ll find light marks from use on the polished surfaces, but overall I’d say it’s in reasonable shape.
This watch is offered as a full set. It comes in the original box in great condition, with the user book and Certificate of Authenticity, the unused polishing cloth and a copy of the original invoice.
