CHRISTOPHER WARD C65 DIVETIMER SPECIAL EDITION

Christopher Ward first used the C65 name in 2014 when they introduced a 43mm dress style variation of the Mk2 C60 dive watch called the C65 Trident Classic. Next came a C65 Trident Classic Vintage, which used a variation of the 38mm Mk2 C60 case in 2016.

CW first dipped their toe into the ‘retro dive’ water in mid 2018 with the hand-wound C65 Trident Diver, which was available with either blue, green or black face at a cost of £700. Unlike the previous two C65s, which were variations of C60s, the C65 Trident Diver was an all-new design and it proved to be an instant hit, paving the way for all manor of new models and special editions and arguably challenging the C60 for the most popular model crown.

The C65 Divetimer Special Edition for sale here was effectively the swan-song model for the ‘original’ C65 Driver before the Aquitaine took over the C65 reins. It was launched in July 2021 and was CW’s first ever limited edition model to sell out on the day it was released! 150 pieces exist and the one for sale here is number 140. The face features a decompression scale to help you calculate decompression stops as you ascend from a deep dive.

Strap Options

I have a blue CW Tropic rubber strap or tan/camel CW leather strap available.

Condition:
I’m the second owner of this watch. It was sold by its first owner as being in brand new condition and on inspecting the watch when I first got it, I couldn’t see any signs of use - the protective vinyls from the bracelet have been removed though. The watch remains in brand new, unmarked condition.

It’s fitted with the original CW Stainless Bracelet with its quick release spring bars. All original links are still present with no signs of it ever having been adjusted.

On the Timegrapher it’s keeping an almost perfect +2sec per day.

It comes as a ‘full set’ complete with original bamboo box, owner’s book, warranty card and unused polishing cloth.
