Christopher Ward C60 Sapphire Black

Christopher Ward has a history of innovation and generally shaking things up. From 2005’s C5 auto with its ETA 2824 movement at an unprecedented price, to the striking C70 face designs starting in 2009, to the first JJ modified calibre in 2011, to having the ‘audacity’ to create their own 120h power reserve SH21 movement in 2014 - they certainly can’t be accused of always just playing it safe. And the C60 Sapphire for sale in this listing is a perfect example of CW rolling the dice - and in this case, coming up with a double six!

Launched in April 2020, C60 Sapphire was based on the then all new 40mm Mk3 C60 Trident and came with blue translucent face and case back to show off its Sellita automatic heart - it was an instant sales hit, paving the way for orange and black face versions and more recently a Sapphire version of the new C63.

The Sapphire is a current model, with brand new examples available from CW here at £850.

Condition

It’s a 99% new watch, with just occasional light blemishes to show it’s been worn.

The strap is a CW #tide nylon in fantastic condition.

It’s keeping great time at approx. +7sec per day.

Supplied in original CW Bamboo box with polishing cloth and copy of the standard CW covering letter - the watch is unfortunately missing its CW warranty card. In the unlikely event of a mechanical issue occurring before 2026, you might find CW will cover it - after all, this colour only came out in 2021. However there are no promises on that, so it’s being sold with a 90 day Ward Hoard warranty.
