Christopher Ward C60 Trident Chronograph Pro 600

The automatic C60 Chronograph was launched in 2016 at a cost of £1,400 (or £1,450 on a bracelet). The first 18 months supply featured the previous CHR. WARD logo on the face, after that the longer/current Christopher Ward logo took over.

For sale here is one of the very first examples to leave CW Towers - serial number 80, which was sold in May 2016.

It’s 43mm across (excluding crown), it stands at a none-too-shy 17mm tall and it weighs at a hefty 230 grams on a full-length bracelet - so it’s no surprise to learn these Mk2 C60 Chronos are affectionately known in CW circles as The Beast! They’re not all brute force and ignorance though. When you start looking in closely you can see many nice details, like the polished detailing on the case, the metallic sub dial rings contrasting against the dark blue, multi-layer face with Guilloche waves.

At its heart is the famous and trusty ETA 7750 Valjoux movement - as found inside many other premium watch brands such as Breitling, TAG Heuer, Panerai, Omega, IWC etc.

Condition
This is a ‘new old’ watch, meaning that although it was originally sold in 2016, it’s actually never been worn and is offered still in brand new condition.

Comes as a ‘full set’ including original boxes, owner book with Certificate of Authenticity (unusually, this one is signed by Chris Ward himself) and unused polishing cloth. Also included is the original invoice (owner’s details removed) showing a £1,450 purchase price.

As you can see from the timegrapher photo, it’s keeping great time at approx. +9sec per day.
