CHRISTOPHER WARD N22 ALEX SPORT CHRONOGRAPH

Introduction

Christopher Ward entered the ladies’ watch market in 2007 and created 21 different models over the years, before announcing in 2014 they intended to exit the women’s field. by 2015 all remaining stock was sold off so they could concentrate on the much better selling models intended for men. That’s not to say that women can’t wear Chris Ward watches now though - there’s much more crossover between them.

Because the ladies watches never really sold in great numbers when they were new, they’re now even harder to come by - I’d say maybe one or two a month come up in the various outlets that I monitor.

The watch for sale in this listing is the 38mm N22 Alex Sport - so one of the larger ones they created. Originally launched in 2011 before being retired in 2014 .

It’s powered by the reliable Ronda 5020.B quartz chronograph, as used by many Swiss watch manufacturers and almost identical to the ones used in the current C3 Chrono models.

Warranty

It comes with a three month Ward Hoard warranty.

Condition

It’s suitable for wrists up to approx. 6 ¼ inches.

Supplied in a new style, mini bamboo box complete with user book and Certificate of Authenticity showing it to be a June 2014 watch. It comes with one spare link.

It’s a ten year old watch which has seen regular wrist time, so there are various light marks - particularly the alloy bezel insert hasn’t stood up to wear like the stainless steel case and bracelet. That’s showing light marks all the way around. Under the harsh glare of the Lightbox, they don’t look great, but in the flesh it looks far more presentable.

The watch is in perfect working order, as is the high quality stainless steel bracelet and clasp.
