Christopher Ward C8 Flyer Mk1 38mm Automatic

Introduction

Christopher Ward has a long history of making aviation-inspired watches, starting with 2006’s C5 Malvern Aviator, which was based on CW’s first ever watch, the C5 Malvern. Their next aviator was… the C8, in its first iteration which was the Pilot Mk1 of 2008. While the C9, C10 and C11 have all offered aviation models, it’s the C8 case which has proved to be CW’s goto aviator case, having been used in over ten different models over the years including the C8 Power Reserve and Al Deere special, which both sit near the top of the CW pricing scale.

The C8 Flyer was introduced in August 2015 in both 38 mm and 44 mm sizes and ceased production in March 2017. This model celebrates Britain's aviation history by being inspired by the Spitfire planes’ cockpit dial clock by Smiths. This is the 38 mm automatic version and was bought in July 2018, as an archive find - one of the latest available.

Warranty

It comes with a three month Ward Hoard warranty.
