Christopher Ward C7 Rosso Corsa COSC Limited Edition

With the exception of a few military specials, the Christopher Ward C7 (and C70) range has always been home to their sport/motorsport inspired watches. The C7 Rapide first arrived in 2008 as a quartz chronograph and that battery chrono theme continued with the launch of the Mk2 in 2012, which was essentially a Mk1 case with some new face designs.

It wasn’t until 2017, when the C7 Rapide range got a complete overhaul, that an automatic movement became available in a C7 for the first time. The standout feature of the automatic watch has to be the multi-part case construction with its contrasting case/ring colours and its hollowed out lugs. Both those made it a pretty expensive watch to manufacture and pretty unique to look at.

The COSC-certified C7 Rosso Corsa with day/date complication for sale here was introduced in mid 2018 as a limited run of 200 pieces. This is a Jan 2021 piece, making it one of the very last ones CW sold. The movement warranty is valid until Jan 2025 (or Jan 2026 if you have it serviced by CW during 2024).

When it was available from CW it cost £1,000.

This is likely one of, if not the last Rosso in brand new condition - when it’s gone, it’s gone!

Condition

Offered in brand new, unworn condition. Fitted with the original CW Hybrid rubber strap (the later, softer version).

Supplied as a full set in bamboo case with polishing cloth, warranty car, COSC certificate and covering letter directing you to the website for a PDF of the owner’s book.

On the timegrapher it’s keeping near perfect time at approx. -2sec per day.
