Christopher Ward C60 Trident GMT 600 Mk2

Introduction

If you’re not familiar with GMT watches I’ll try to give a brief intro: as well as the usual hour, minute and second hands, the GMT adds a fourth hand which takes 24 hours to complete a lap of the dial, so 12 midnight would be at 12 o’clock and 12 noon would be the usual 6 o’clock position. It makes for a great travel companion because you can set the GMT hand to your home time zone and the other hands to the local time, so seeing your ‘home’ time is just a glance away. By rotating the bezel (which features 24h markers) to move the midnight marker you can create a third time zone.

The Mk2 C60 GMT with the ceramic dial arrived in 2015 and the logo was changed in 2017 to the full “Christopher Ward” - which has subsequently been replaced by the twin flags.

Launched in January 2015, this is a development of the C60 Trident Pro 600 diver's watch, featuring a GMT hand picked out in orange and a unidirectional hybrid 24-hour bezel (Arabic indices only between 0800 and 2200). Original advertising referenced the Rolex Master GMT from the 1950s as a source of inspiration for the Trident GMT range, though the ETA 2893-2 calibre used in this watch does not feature an independently adjustable hour hand.

Warranty

It comes with a three month Ward Hoard warranty.

Strap

Fitted with a CW black hybrid strap in very good used condition - may even be new.

Price includes this strap - other options are:

• Exchange for a good used CW bracelet: an extra £100.

• Fitted with a leather or tide: no cost difference

• Without a strap: discount of £40.

Condition

In really nice, used condition. Some light scratches on the lugs that don’t notice in use.

Comes complete with box, polishing cloth and a photocopy of the manual.

It is keeping almost perfect time at -1 spd on the timegrapher.
