Christopher Ward C60 Mk2 Trident Pro 600 316L Blue Limited Edition

Introduction

The original C60 Trident Pro was launched in 2009 and was an instant hit . 2015 saw the introduction of the Mk2 C60 and a in 2017 CW started a four-watch series of 316L Limited editions - so called because they all featured a 316-grade stainless steel metal bezel instead of the usual ceramic insert. The first had a bright orange face, then came a more subtle blue. In 2018 we got the bright yellow, then last up in 2019 came the black edition.

When available from CW, the selling price was £730 for the leather model and £800 for the bracelet version. They sold out in 2020, so are no longer available from CW.

This one is the blue one and I think the best of the bunch. So much so that one of these has been in my personal collection twice. The matte blue is a fantastic colour and it is set off perfectly with that orange trident second hand.

It comes with a three month Ward Hoard warranty.

Straps

It’s fitted with stainless CW bracelet with user-friendly ratchet micro adjustment, however anoraks will note this bracelet has polished centre links meaning it’s not originally from a 316L model - the 316L optional bracelets had all brushed links. If you want the all brushed look that can easily be achieved with the purchase of a watch brushing pad for a few quid on eBay and a few minutes spent rubbing! Comes with two spare links.

Condition

The bezels on these are notorious for being scratch magnets - see the black one I have for sale! This one has clearly been very well looked after and only has a couple of light scratches. It’s in great condition for its age. Currently running at spot on at 0 seconds per day on the timegrapher. It was serviced in March 2020.

This is a ‘full set’ box and papers watch. Supplied with user manual (including Certificate of Authenticity), polishing cloth and those two spare bracelet links.
