SOLD - C60 Mk2 Trident Pro 600 Bronze 43mm Hybrid strap (2020)
Christopher Ward C60 Mk2 Bronze
Here we have the original and first bronze C60 Trident. It was based on the Mk2 C60 and was an instant hit when it was launched in 2017, paving the way for various C60 and C65 bronze editions. It was retired three years later with the arrival of the Mk3 C60 bronze model.
How do the Mk2 and Mk3 bronze C60s differ?
Size: the Mk2 was available in 38mm and 43mm, the new Mk3 is 40mm.
Face: on the Mk2 it’s a flat/matte navy blue, whereas the Mk3 has a lighter, distressed look.
Case: as well as the different size, the case design on the Mk3 gives it a slimmer look compared to the Mk2
Hands: the Mk2 has quite traditional style hands, but the Mk3 has straight/modern hands
Price: The Mk2 used to sell at £800. The Mk3 costs £850 (available here)
This watch was sold by CW in April 2020, so the (transferable) movement warranty is valid until April 2025.
It’s fitted with the original CW blue, quick-release, Hybrid rubber/webbing strap - it’s the later, thinner and softer hybrid strap.
It’s never been worn, but being six+ months old, it’s just starting to develop the initial signs of a patina. If you like the patina look, it just needs touching, wearing and exposing to air and moisture. If you like the bright, raw bronze look, that can be brought back with a quick soda/lemon juice clean (no shortage of guides on the web). Under magnified inspection, you can spot the odd indication of the watch having been handled/photographed - it is brand new, but it’s not 1000% box fresh, if you know what I mean.
