WH802 Bremont S300 Blue (02/2023)
Bremont S300
Introduction
Bremont doesn’t need much introduction as probably the British ‘premium’ watch brand (although CW is snapping at its heels). I’m a big fan - I had a Broadsword in my own collection for a couple of years, which was a fabulous watch, superb quality.
The S300 is one of Bremont’s dive watch ranges before Bremont’s big rebrand. Many (including me) prefer the old logo and designs and this model is no longer available. The blue of the dial is a gorgeous deep blue that captures the sunlight beautifully. Very reminiscent of the CW Supercompressor deep blue.
The new 40mm case of the Type 300 is also slimmer being only 13mm from sapphire crystal to case back featuring a uni-directional ceramic rotating bezel. Bremont has wanted to create a 40mm dive watch for some time, not necessarily designed to the exact parameters as the S500 and S2000, but certainly embodying Bremont’s engineering DNA and with the capability of reaching at least 300m in dive depth.
Every Bremont Supermarine Type 300 is chronometer rated and houses a beautifully finished BE-92AE automatic movement. Of the two Type 300s, the Type 300/BK has a black dial and ceramic bezel insert, and the Type 300/BL (this one) a blue dial and ceramic bezel insert. Laser engraved ceramic uni-directional rotating bezel with Super-LumiNova®.
