SOLD WH635 GATECRASHER! Farer Stark II (05/2017)
Farer Stark II
Introduction
Whilst it’s mostly about CW, it’s not all about CW. There are some fantastic other brands out there that I’ve had as part of my own collection that operate a similar space to CW. I’m not talking your Rolex, Omega or Tudor, more your Halios, Pinion, Monta, anOrdian or Zero West.
This is one such smaller brand, Farer, that operates in a similar space to CW and is known for its splashes of colour.
This watch is the Stark II, the second one of these that I’ve had and one of the most popular watches of its original launch collection. This upgraded model II features 12 times overprinted midnight blue numerals and batons finely outlined in SuperLumi-Nova that sit over a pearlescent white sunray, vintage curved dial. The dial finish creates a brilliant lustre when caught in the light, set-off by with the blue syringe-style hour/minute hands - infilled with SuperLumi-Nova to glow in the dark. The rich level of detailing continues around the dial with an inset machine turned textured sub-dial for seconds highlighted by the pop of red line hand.
Condition
The watch itself is in fair condition - it’s been used and enjoyed and the price reflects this. Of particular note is the crystal has some light scratches at around 10/12. I’ve been quoted £80 to replace it from Farer - I’m in two minds about whether it is worth getting done.
Comes boxed in its original packaging with warranty card, owner's manual, cleaning cloth and tags.
Also comes on an almost new Barton leather strap which suits it really well.
Warranty
It comes with a Ward Hoard three month warranty.
