WH599 GATECRASHER! Elliot Brown Bloxworth blue/white chronograph
Elliot Brown Bloxworth
Introduction
Whilst it’s mostly about CW, it’s not all about CW. There are some fantastic other brands out there that I’ve had as part of my own collection that operate a similar space to CW. I’m not talking your Rolex, Omega or Tudor, more your Halios, Pinion, Monta, anOrdian or Zero West.
This is one such smaller brand. I currently have one in my own collection and it is such a tough, rugged, go anywhere watch. You certainly don’t need to baby it. Elliot Brown was founded by the former management team of Animal watches (for those that remember those in the 90s - I had several).
I’ve just taken in six Elliot Browns from a CW collector that are all in fantastic condition, two Bloxworths, two Canfords and two Tynehams. All barely worn and complete with all boxes.
So, here we have a Bloxworth. A classic 'tech-diver' chronograph designed for those who like a little more function, the Bloxworth is a true go-anywhere, do-anything watch. This one is a fabulous colour combination - you don’t often see it.
Its Swiss-made 13-jewel chronograph movement has a three-year battery life (subject to how much the stopwatch function is used) and is secured inside EB’s proprietary shock-absorbing steel movement housing. The 44mm diameter case is pebble-like so it wears beautifully even on smaller wrists and is machined from solid 316L marine-grade stainless steel.
The lugs are drilled and unusually have a screw for attachment rather than the usual springbar. This makes strap swapping a cinch with the use of the provided screwdriver and also makes it incredibly secure.
Condition
The watch itself is in immaculate condition. It’s not been worn much, if at all.
Warranty
The Elliot Brown warranty has now expired, so it comes with a three month Ward Hoard warranty.
