Christopher Ward C63 Sealander GMT

Introduction

Described as a classic ‘GMT-explorer’ watch the C63 Sealander GMT made its debut in April 2021. Crafted from anti-corrosive 316L stainless steel, the C63 Sealander GMT boasts a fixed 24-hour bezel, an oversized GMT hand in bright orange and a high-legibility dial. Powered by the new Sellita SW330-2 GMT movement, the wearer is able to track a second time zone, day or night, anywhere in the world.

There’s undeniable resemblance to a 42mm Rolex Explorer II (albeit with batons instead of pips), but at 39mm, the Christopher Ward version probably has a bit more flexibility… and at £7,000+ cheaper, it represents a small advantage on the value front, too!

This navy blue dial colour is no longer available from CW - no idea why, in my view, it is the best!

It’s fitted with the SW330-2 movement, so you get a 56h power reserve, as opposed to the 42h of the SW330-1 - a noticeable improvement

Warranty

This is a February 2022 watch, so the transferable movement warranty is valid to February 2027.

Strap options

It comes on an excellent CW blue/orange hybrid, which complements the orange GMT hand perfectly.

Other options - head only £40 discount

Exchange for a good, used bracelet - increase of £90

Exchange for a brand new bracelet - increase of £110

Condition

Very good condition. There’s a slight mark on the bezel between the 10/12 and 12/14.

On the timegrapher it’s keeping very good time at -11 sec per day.

Offered as a full set including box, owner’s manual, polishing cloth and warranty booklet/card.
