Christopher Ward C65 Sandhurst Series 2 38mm Bronze

Introduction

The ‘public’ military models started with a batch of C65s in 2019. They were the Dartmouth (named after the Royal Naval School), the Cranwell (named after the RAF College) and the Sandhurst (named after the The Royal Military Academy where army officers are trained).

In August 2020 CW added a fourth military model, the Lympstone. And in 2021 the Colchester joined the party (developed for and in conjunction with the British Army's Parachute Regiment).

In September 2022, CW released Series 2 military watches, upgraded versions. The only CW timepiece to carry the heraldic badge of the British Army, this second-generation C65 Sandhurst boasts golden, arrowed hands, a Swiss chronometer movement and a textured black dial that plays host to CW’s twin-flags logo. The 38mm bronze Light-catcher™ case is not only ideal for any wrist, but will also develop a unique patina as it ages.

Based on the Smiths W10, its 38mm case is in line with the trend for smaller cases, while the sleek mid-century design is ultra-legible and impossibly cool.
